How will my site be created?
We use XHTML for mark-up and CSS for layout. Scripting is handled by PHP and Javascript, and we build web applications using the symfony framework.
All of our sites are hand coded as this (amongst other things) enables us to ensure the bandwidth footprint is minimised.
Our websites adhere to the Web Standards set out by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Let's talk money
We cost each site individually, so please contact us for a quote, however to give you an idea of development time and cost we will break down our own site and explain a bit about it for you.
Our Purple Oak site consists of a number of modules, some frontend and some backend.
Frontend modules handle the display of data to visitors of the site, including news articles and our RSS Feed.
The backend module enables administrators of the site to login securely and post articles using an administration panel. These articles are automatically added to the news archive, a new page is created for that specific article (with a url to match the title), and the article is added to the sidebar, and the RSS Feed.
To create a site such as ours we would allow approximately 2 weeks (to include testing), and we would cost such a site at approximately £600 + VAT. This price does not include design as we would need to discuss this with you before starting. It is important that the design of your site compliments the message you are trying to convey and we will explain the design process (and of course the development process) when we send you a quote.
There is no charge for us to supply a quote to you, so get in touch now!.
